Cloudflare

Identify origin server

If you are using Cloudflare for your source site you can easily retrieve the origin server name or IPs from the Cloudflare dashboard:

  1. Go to Websites and select the source site domain

  2. In the sidebar, select DNS > Records

  3. Locate your source site record, usually www or a wildcard (*)

  4. Capture the screenshot or copy the value from the Content column. Share this value with your Glopal account manager or Glopal Support contact.

Enable Cloudlare CDN

Once Glopal confirms configuration is ready to enable Cloudflare CDN, you can complete configuration from the Cloudflare dashboard.

Go to Websites and select the target site domain. If your target domain is not in Cloudflare, follow the instructions on how to Add a new domain.

The next step is to enable Cloudflare Full Encryption mode, securing the connection between Cloudflare and Glopal. Glopal only serves content over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and if not configured correctly, localized sites will not work and will report a redirection loop error.

If the Glopal site is appearing on a separate top-level domain that has no other use, you can apply this change for everything on this domain. If you are working on subdomains and domain has other origins, you can add a Configuration Rule to apply this change only for Glopal localized site.

Full SSL/TLS configuration for domain
  1. In the sidebar select SSL/TLS > Overview

  2. Select Full encryption option

Full SSL/TLS configuration for one single record
  1. In the sidebar open Rules > Configuration rules

  2. Click Create rule button

  3. Enter name "Glopal Full SSL/TLS"

  4. Define "Custom filter expression" to match when Host equals your localized domain

  5. In the list of actions under SSL section, click Add button and select Full

  6. Save and deploy your rule

After adjusting SSL/TLS configuration, you are ready to enable Cloudflare CDN for your localized site:

  1. In the sidebar select DNS > Records

  2. Locate your localized site record, usually www, country code or a wildcard (*) that is currently pointing to Glopal (app-<random>.glopalstore.com)

  3. Expand options by clicking the Edit icon, then enable Cloudflare CDN by toggling the Proxy status option, switching to Proxied (orange cloud)

This change requires DNS cache to expire. Monitor your localized website carefully to ensure correct operations once the new DNS settings apply. New DNS settings may not apply for all users at the same time. If facing any problems, deactivate the Proxy status, switching the organge cloud back to DNS only option.
